History
The Rude Mechanicals were founded on July 25, 1999, and we’ve been exploring classical works for over 25 years since. In 2019, we partnered with the Greenbelt Arts Center as a resident theater troupe.
The Rudes are proud to announce that as of the 2021 production of Cymbeline (and a staged reading of the Epic Poems in 2024) they have performed all of the works of William Shakespeare at least once.
Troupe meetings
The Rude Mechanicals hold troupe meetings approximately six times a year. All Rude Mechanicals are invited. We discuss the past show, the current show, and everything that affects the running of the troupe.
