The Rude Mechanicals are soliciting projects for their 2006-2007 season. Submissions are due by January 15, 2006. Three slots are available: Winter (performed in January 2007), Spring (performed May 2007) and Autumn (performed September 2007).

Requirements:

• Fill out this treatment form: (Word)
  It's not necessary to fill out the entire form. The goal is to get you thinking about the sort of things required to put on a play.
• The Rude Mechanicals require that every director have previously done an apprenticeship as an assistant director with the Rude Mechanicals. This can be waived by the board if you are an experienced director; email plays@rudemechanicals.com if you have any questions.
• The Rude Mechanicals generally perform classic theater. Our plays have generally been Shakespeare, but other classic authors and classics from other eras (including the modern era) are welcome. Oklahoma!, however, is right out.

Play selections for the Winter 2007 slot will be made in early-to-mid February. The other slots may or may not be chosen at the same time, but you'll have at least 6 months between being approved and starting rehearsals.
